Robbie Pugh is a qualified accountant who has had a great deal of experience with all kinds of businesses.

He has had considerable dealings with start-up and fledgling businesses of all types and sizes. He has nurtured them and helped them grow, assisting their owners in all aspects of their operations.

In particular, he worked for many years with a large international company with numerous subsidiaries on the continents of Africa, Asia and South America. His main responsibility has been in providing training in all areas of company start-up from the company boss down to the shop floor.

Training people in these developing countries required a special technique inasmuch as the personnel in these companies did not possess the same knowledge, skills, sophistication and experience as their counterparts in the so-called First World.

This is not in any way meant to disparage these people. Far from it. As Robbie himself puts it: "Nobody knows anything until they´ve been taught." Which is precisely why such places are called "developing countries."

These happy days came to a sudden end in the late ´90´s when Robbie was diagnosed with cancer and, also requiring open-heart surgery in order to be able to survive the cancer operation and chemotherapy which followed, his chances of surviving beyond six months were considered remote.

But, survive he did, albeit physically damaged. Robbie found himself partially disabled and forced into premature retirement.

Robbie moved to the mountains of southern Spain where he still lives with his "gorgeous" wife, Anna. But his restless spirit was urging him to "do something". The thought of forced idleness was not in his nature. However his physical disability seriously curtailed what he could do.

It was at that time Robbie "discovered" the Internet, and a discovery which proved to became (yet another!) major turning point in his life.

Although he has worked with main-frame computers, Robbie would be the first to admit he has no real knowledge of computer technology. Modern day technology leaves him bewildered. Indeed, as he puts it himself, he is the "Complete Techno-Twerp."

But Robbie was determined to learn the arcane arts of the Internet, and "how to do business" on it. It reminded him of his experiences in Africa, except that he was now the pupil.

But what became immediately apparent was that the work of creating and marketing products online was not a great deal different from the regular business world. Instead of a place of work, now you have an Internet Site. Marketing online is little more than techno-mail-order.

So that is how this web site came into being. Who better than Robbie to encourage people into starting their very own Internet Business? With a global economic downturn seeming increasingly more likely coming against a backdrop of enormous political uncertainties it behooves us all to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

A Final Word From Robbie

Never has the time been better to get an online business. The capital required is remarkably small; the potential rewards are enormous. If you´re in a job which you think could become shaky then you can start part-time. Work evenings and week-ends. Whatever it takes. But you must have an insurance policy and a business on the internet provides precisely that. Encourage your spouse to do likewise!

And don´t worry about the competition. The market is enormous! And it is unfortunately true that only a tiny minority of people will do anything about it, leaving the field wide open to those with the determination to succeed.

P.P.S.Without being unduly alarmist I do feel we are on the brink of a quite sharp economic downturn. You should consider an alternative business (or many mini-businesses) as an insurance policy. There are many reasons why I believe this. I shall be discussing them in detail in the months ahead. You could find it interesting.
